Long-time Academy Cross Country Coach Adam Kedge has been selected by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as the 2023 Girls’ High School Cross Country Coach of the Year for the state of New Mexico.
Coach Kedge, a member of the Academy science department who has been with the school since 1997, is the head coach of boys and girls cross country and the head coach of boys track and field. This past fall, the girls cross country team finished an undefeated season with a state championship and individual champ, while the boys took home the red trophy at state. In the spring, both boys and girls track and field teams were runners-up at state.
The USTFCCCA honor recognizes coaches’ leadership, success, and hard work, as well as the dedication of the student-athletes, coaching staff, and school administration.
